Melissa Mack

Melissa Mack oversees the communications, human resources, and learning innovations functions for Kaplan, Inc. Mack built Kaplan’s brand and reputation infrastructure as the company evolved from a small, U.S.-based test prep company to one of the world’s largest providers of educational services. Mack oversees internal communications and public relations activity across the organization, in support of Kaplan’s strategic priorities. She led the development of Kaplan’s master-brand strategy, consolidating dozens of brands and creating a unified identity for the company; and she introduced the Branded Environments program to optimize the customer and employee experience, and promote Kaplan’s brand consistently across locations.

Mack oversees human resources at Kaplan, where her responsibilities include organizational effectiveness, employee engagement and talent management.

Mack serves as Chairman of the Kaplan Educational Foundation, a public charity that she helped to create, and which she has overseen since its inception. The Foundation provides academic advising and financial assistance to underrepresented, high-potential community college students from the New York City area who wish to transfer into competitive four-year schools.

Mack holds a B.A. degree with honors from Brown University.
