Yael Aufgang oversees Kaplan, Inc.’s in-house legal team. The Kaplan, Inc. legal team coordinates across the Kaplan business unit legal teams and with Graham Holdings, leads companywide compliance and corporate governance efforts, coordinates corporate transactions, manages the company’s intellectual property, and handles Kaplan, Inc.’s litigation, among other functions.
Yael is a member of the board of the Kaplan Educational Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity that provides academic advising and financial support to community college students from underserved communities who wish to transfer into competitive four-year schools.
Prior to Kaplan, Yael worked in private practice as a litigator at Jones Day. She earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from the Fordham University School of Law.
