He/Him
Kaplan North America

Gregory Marino leads Kaplan’s businesses and operations based in the United States. These businesses provide individuals, educational institutions, and businesses a broad array of services, including higher and professional education, test preparation, corporate and leadership training, and student recruitment, online enablement and other university support services.

Marino joined Kaplan Inc. in 1993, has served in numerous senior roles and subsequently played an integral role building the former Kaplan University’s highly successful student-focused service model and innovative technology platform. Under his leadership, Kaplan University was acquired in 2018 by Purdue University and began operating as Purdue University Global. This disruptive acquisition of Kaplan University by Purdue was heralded as a landmark transaction in the higher education industry, whereby for the first time a for-profit institution was converted to a non-profit institution owned by a public entity. Marino has led the transition of KHE to a Managed Services Provider and is dedicated to building long-term strategic partnerships with higher education institutions and employers to address their educational needs.

Marino earned an MBA and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Maryland University College. He previously served on the Board of Directors for the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance and was an executive committee member of the Young Presidents’ Organization. In 2019, Florida Trend Magazine named Marino to the Florida 500, the most influential executives in more than 60 economic sectors throughout the state. He was also a former recipient of Business Leader magazine’s South Florida Movers & Shakers Award.
